Eric Johannessen (Creative Director/Owner and "Head Elf") loves three things more than anything in this world - his family, creating lifetime memories, and Christmas! Because he wanted to create lifetime memories for his young children, he started decorating his home in Winter Park for Christmas starting in 2011. In 2016, his desire to make his decorations bigger and brighter each year led him to create a display that was so large and bright it was featured on ABC's "The Great Christmas Light Fight". Eric and his family welcome over 250,000 people to their home every season, making it the best and biggest light display in Central Florida.

It was only natural to bring his passion for Christmas light displays to the community. Johannessen Lights began as a charitable home display and has grown to include hundreds of homes, HOAs, businesses, and communities in Central Florida.
